Read the space before styling

Wide photos and a dimensioned plan show what is central and what becomes the background. Check which walls, entrances and furniture can be included in the concept. A distinctive existing element may be the starting point. Early planning avoids choices that require changing the entire space.

Details to check with the venue

Ask about ceiling height, electricity, hanging points, loading access and working hours. Obtain approval for elements requiring installation or anchoring. If another event takes place before or after yours, share the actual setup window. These restrictions and responsibilities should be checked before the design proposal is finalised.
